Winter Black Truffle Has A Date With G Restaurant

In winter black truffles, or fungus, welcomes its best season. Regarded as the "black diamond" on the table, black truffle is a sort of expensive and nutritous epiphyte which is best appreciated between December and March.

As a restaurant exhaulted for its grilled dishes, G Restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Guangzhou Hotel has exported black truffles this January. Chef de Cuisine Alessandro Martinelli said, "black truffle matches meat and fish, keeping the food most natural delicacy and nutrition."

A selection of black truffle dishes like Home-made Smoked Salmon with Perigord Truffle,Quail Eggs (130 RMB), Scallops, seared, Perigord truffle, organic greens, foie gras, port wine reduction (200 RMB); Angus double rib eye, herb tomato, black garlic (850 RMB/600g); Risotto alla parmigiana, pigeon breast, Perigord truffle (180 RMB) could be found here. To review the taste from his hometown, he designs the addition of roasted squab with black truffle on a delectable Italian risotto.

The restaurant has renewed its menu to celebrate the New Year. The chefs take consideration of the dry autumn and winter weather in designing their selection of appetizers and salads with seasonal fruits.
