Entering in this restaurant, we were impressed by the interior, spacious and well suited for customers to sit down and enjoy the food. On the right of the entrance was a cozy and charming bar, yet the most noticeable fitment was the huge L-shaped buffet that occupied merely 1/3 of the room!
The buffet features worldwide delicacies such as Peking Ducks, fresh seafood and sushi, soups, salads, cheeses and several tens of different hot traditional dishes along with fabulous desserts delight in a unique setting, easy to navigate.
For those who want to try a bit of everything, they will have the choice. Indeed, guests can choose from an extensive range of international and Chinese food, freshly prepared at about 6 live cooking stations, including noodles, BBQ, Fish and meat, fried food, Sashimi and crepes.

All sushi and sashimi were very fresh and DELICIOUS!!! More than 6 different types of sashimi could be ordered and freshly cut in a few seconds.
The freshness of the Japanese section
Regarding the dessert (one of the main part for some gourmand person….), it was unbelievable! The number of different mini cakes was countless; a giant chocolate fountain was running and waiting for us to dip our piece of fruit or candy in.

Moreover, an ice cream (Häagen-Dazs) and crepe station allowed us to accommodate our choice with nuts, chocolate, honey, coulis, fruits …….
Dozens of fresh fruits were also available as well as some soft drinks and beers.
Throughout more than a few back and forth to the buffet, the personal gave us also some amazing specialty such as an enormous California rolls as well as a tender and soft beefsteak. After several minutes and despite that our stomachs were fully satisfied with all these delicious foods, the Chef, in person, brought us an amazing chocolate soufflé that we couldn't refuse….
I was surprised by the kitchen assistants as well who came over two or three times during our feast in order to propose us some of their hot and ready dishes such as a tasty Peking Roasted Ducks or fresh grilled shrimps and mushrooms.
A Peking Roast Duck visit
Furthermore, each guest was offered 1 Oyster as well as ½ lobsters which were EXTRAORDINARY good.
Our yummy ½ lobster
However, the two only drawbacks concerned the Dim sum choice, which was very limited and the pizza’s quality (two choices) which fell far below par: an overload of (low quality) cheese and a very bitter greasy crust .These were my only disappointment for this fabulous buffet.
Regarding the atmosphere, this one was very welcoming and relaxing. Each of our (empty) plates, were cleared by a friendly wait staff ever ready to help us.
To conclude, for RMD 215 this worthy buffet was superb, all dishes were succulents, the consistency of each sauces were just right and all meats were tender. The soup, seafood and sushi were rich and flavorsome.
The freshness of the seafood section
After eating as much food as possible, I finished my dinner on my chair, ready to blow up! Honestly, I am convinced that it is impossible to taste the whole buffet: This is a good occasion to come back in this enjoyable and very nice restaurant very soon….

Sharing a hearty meal with friends, colleagues or family, spiced with quality and fresh food, accompanied with a good atmosphere and attentive staff, Covent Garden takes care of its buffet and it is that which sets this place apart.
After our buffet, the only thing missing was a faster way to go back home.
