Chongqing Flavors Find Fans at Westin Pazhou

Westin Pazhou has invited the group's Chongqing-hailing chef to present an authentic cuisine from the metropolis located in Central China.

The new menu is available during March at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Five Zen5es. Guest Chef Li Weiyang, head chef of the group's Le Méridien in Chongqing will interpret the traditionally spicy cuisine with his own style during his tenure. As the origin of Sichuan cuisine, Chongqing and its savory flavors indulges the ultimate thirst of chili fans.

All the ingredients used in the recipes are, according to the hotel, freshly airlifted from Chongqing in order to accentuate an authentic taste.

The March menu, not only includes delicate appetizers like Chicken with Crushed Peanuts and Spicy Sesame Sauce, but also offers the most classic of Sichuan cuisine like Simmered Turbot Fish with Spicy Sichuan Pepper Oil, which takes the chef a whole day to infuse the oil with the assortment of spices added at different temperatures. The chef's efforts showcase his sincerity and diligence in his art.
